After an intensive development and coordination phase, six new standards were launched at the 12th UENPS Congress in Kraków.
Since the launch of the European Standards of Care for Newborn Health (ESCNH) in the European Parliament in 2018, they received much attention and international experts in neonatal care expressed great interest to support the standard development of yet underreported areas within the existing framework. Last year, 20 standards have been reassessed in a comprehensive revision process, which included an expert and a public consultation. This September, six new standards were launched at the UENPS congress in Kraków.
Areas covered by our new standards are:
