The European Standards of Care for Newborn Health (ESCNH) aim to address the disparities in provision and quality of care existing in Europe through a comprehensive set of reference standards, which are covering the most important topics associated with preterm birth and neonatal morbidity. The ESCNH are intended to be used as a source for a national development of respective binding and implemented guidelines, protocols, directives, or laws (depending on the national and local situation). As the local situation is different in each country, the ESCNH cannot simply be translated word by word but need to be adapted to the local circumstances. Thanks to the invaluable support and commitment of our international partners, the ESCNH are available partially or fully in several languages. More translations will be added over time.
If you want to support the translation of the ESCNH into your native language, please get in touch with us.
For more information on the development and the methods used for the ESCNH, please take a look at the “About” section of our website.
We hope that in the future all relevant stakeholders will join forces and work together on the implementation of the European Standards of Care for Newborn Health in order to ensure the best start in life for all infants across Europe and beyond.
