The toolkit ‘Shaping the future – Combining forces to improve newborn health’ was launched on the occasion of this year´s Congress of joint European Neonatal Societies (jENS) 2019 in Maastricht. The toolkit aims to facilitate and support the implementation of the European Standards of Care for Newborn Health on a national, regional, and local level. It can be used by various stakeholders like parent organisations, healthcare professionals, healthcare societies, payers, non-governmental organisations, policymakers, politicians, the media, and other interested parties. This practical handbook provides knowledge and background information about the standards, ideas, tools, and step-by-step advice. Many practical examples serve as an inspiration in order to raise awareness and engage with national stakeholders.
