Toolkit

A comprehensive toolkit supporting the implementation of the European Standards of Care for Newborn Health (ESCNH) has been available since September 2019. The toolkit “Shaping the future – Combining forces to improve newborn health” aims to facilitate and support the implementation of the ESCNH on a national, regional, and local level. It can be used by various stakeholders like parent organisations, healthcare professionals, healthcare societies, payers, non-governmental organisations, policy makers, politicians, the media, and other interested parties that aim to improve the care for preterm and ill babies.

The toolkit offers a full range of concepts, resources, support, ready-to-use tools as well as clear milestones and objectives by which progress in the implementation of the ESCNH can be assessed. Many best-practice examples can be used as a basis in order to raise awareness and engage with national stakeholders.
