La diffusione degli Standard Assistenziali Europei per la Salute del Neonato (European Standards of Care for Newborn Health) passa anche dalla possibilità di disporre una versione nel nostro idioma. È per questo che la Società Italiana di Neonatologia (SIN) e Vivere ONLUS, Coordinamento Nazionale delle Associazioni, hanno deciso di tradurre gli standard in italiano, facendo dell’Italia il primo paese europeo che mette a disposizione questo importante documento nella propria lingua nazionale. Inoltre, la traduzione rappresenta uno sforzo congiunto e una collaborazione senza precedenti tra una rappresentativa di pazienti ed una società scientifica. Con l’obiettivo di diffondere gli standard nel modo più efficace possibile e la speranza di rappresentare un modello anche per altri Paesi, SIN e Vivere ONLUS vogliono ringraziare sentitamente tutto il team di EFCNI, tutti i traduttori volontari ed i coordinatori, senza i quali questo imponente lavoro di traduzione non sarebbe stato possibile.
Spreading the European Standards of Care for Newborn Health also depends on their availability in our language. It is for this reason that the Italian Society of Neonatology (SIN) and Vivere ONLUS, the Italian National Coordination of Parents’ Associations, have decided to translate the standards into Italian, with Italy becoming the first European country to make this important document available in their national language. The translation also represents a joint effort and an unprecedented collaboration between a parents’ representative and a scientific society. With the aim to spread the standards in the most effective way and hoping to represent a model for other countries, SIN and Vivere ONLUS would like to sincerely thank the EFCNI team, all the translators, and coordinators, without whom this massive work of translation would not have been possible.
At the moment, translations of “Infant- and family-centred developmental care” and “Care procedures” are available with more to come in the future.
